The Pearly Gates

A man died and went to heaven. Apostle Peter meets him at the pearly gates.

Apostle Peter: "Here is how it works. You need 100 points to make it into heaven. You tell me all the good thing you've done and I give you a certain number of points for each item, depending on how good it was. When you reach 100 points, you can get in."

The man: "Okay, I was married to the same woman for fifty donkey years and never cheated on her, even in my heart."

Apostle Peter: "That's worth three points!"

The Man: "Well, I attended church all my life and supported its ministry with my tithe and services."

Apostle Peter: "Terrific! that's certainly worth a point!"

The Man: "One point...huh? How about this: I started a soup kitchen in my city and worked in a shelter for homeless veterans!"

Apostle Peter: "Fantastic!, TWO POINTS!!!"

The Man: "At this rate the only way I can get into heaven is by the grace of God!"

At this point of time, Apostle Paul steps appears at the gates....

Apostle Paul shout: "100 POINTS FOR THAT, Come on it!"

Point to ponder: Our good works will never earn us salvation, though it follows our "salvation through grace" by faith in Christ.
