The Pearly Gates

A man died and went to heaven. Apostle Peter meets him at the pearly gates.

Apostle Peter: "Here is how it works. You need 100 points to make it into heaven. You tell me all the good thing you've done and I give you a certain number of points for each item, depending on how good it was. When you reach 100 points, you can get in."

The man: "Okay, I was married to the same woman for fifty donkey years and never cheated on her, even in my heart."

Apostle Peter: "That's worth three points!"

The Man: "Well, I attended church all my life and supported its ministry with my tithe and services."

Apostle Peter: "Terrific! that's certainly worth a point!"

The Man: "One point...huh? How about this: I started a soup kitchen in my city and worked in a shelter for homeless veterans!"

Apostle Peter: "Fantastic!, TWO POINTS!!!"

The Man: "At this rate the only way I can get into heaven is by the grace of God!"

At this point of time, Apostle Paul steps appears at the gates....

Apostle Paul shout: "100 POINTS FOR THAT, Come on it!"

Point to ponder: Our good works will never earn us salvation, though it follows our "salvation through grace" by faith in Christ.

Pool

To get the target ball into the pocket, we need to focus at the target ball instead of the white ball. If we focus on the white ball, we can never get the target ball into the pocket.

So in the case of our everyday living as Christian, whatever problem we encountered, we need to focus on Jesus (the target ball), instead of on our self (the white ball).

You get the revelation?
